Martin YELKOUNI

Biography

Director General of the Development Support Institute (IAD, Lyon, France), Martin Yelkouni has a doctorate in economics from Clermont Auvergne University (France) and specializes in environmental and natural resource economics. He also holds an authorization to direct research from the University of Paris 8. He is interested, among other things, in the governance of renewable natural resources, the role of institutions in development, waste management, the green and circular economy, etc. For several years, he has been an associate professor in international postgraduate training programs (Agrinovia and Cerpamad in Ouagadougou, Wascal and CEA-CCBAD in Abidjan, etc.). From 2011 to 2021, Martin YELKOUNI was director of the environment department at Senghor University in Alexandria (Egypt). Martin Yelkouni has designed and implemented, with the Institut de la francophonie pour le développement durable, several online training courses (MOOCs) on the environment.
