The dismantling of African universities over almost three decades (late 1980s – early 2000s) has resulted, among other things, in massification and a freeze on recruitment and research resources, leading to a drastic and general decline in quality. The shortcomings in teaching methods, fieldwork, theoretical and epistemological frameworks, and scientific writing are enormous. Yet these are fundamental aspects in the restitution of scientific thought. With a view to rectification, the LASPAD produces its own MOOCs to meet a number of fundamental objectives in line with our training mission and our value of transmission and innovation.
