Underemployment and precariousness in public youth employment policies in Senegal

LASPAD seminar poster Underemployment and precariousness in public youth employment policies in Senegal

The Laboratory for the Analysis of Societies and Powers / Africa – Diasporas (LASPAD) is pleased to invite you to an online seminar devoted to the issue of youth employment in Senegal.

When it comes to employment, debates often focus on unemployment. Yet, the most striking and structural realities lie in underemployment and job insecurity, dimensions experienced daily but still little studied and discussed.
In other words, unemployment is often “the tree that hides the forest.”

This seminar aims to highlight these fundamental aspects in order to better understand the real issues of public youth employment policies in Senegal.
