In light of bibliometric data and recent studies, we have observed an anglicization of science for several decades. In this context, doing research in French and disseminating it in French is a source of wealth and influence. Science in French also helps develop the interest of the next generation, promote exchanges with society and fight against misinformation. It can count on a Francophonie of more than 320 million people on five continents.


Science in French, however, involves a certain number of issues: scientific recognition and career advancement, support for scientific journals in French, open science, science and society dialogue including scientific advice to the government, scientific collaborations in Quebec and the international…
Under the leadership of the chief scientist of Quebec and the Quebec Research Funds, this forum will offer the opportunity to express oneself on these issues and to explore possible solutions to give new impetus to science in French.
