Casamance
In order to reflect the particular complexity of the conflict in Casamance, the LASPAD supported by APN-SSRC (African Peacebuilding Network of the Social Science Research Council) and the Rosa Luxemburg Foundationhas set up a research program on conflict and peace in Casamance.
This research should have both academic (innovative and up-to-date scientific productions on conflict) and social impacts (achievable through the research process itself and the dissemination of results as efforts to end conflict through more active involvement of researchers and practitioners in conflict resolution strategies).
The project aims to :
compile and share all existing resources on the conflict (Bibliography and Archives)
propose a renewed understanding of the notions, concepts and theories used to describe the situation in Casamance (Dictionary and Working Papers).
create a space for public debate and the democratization of conflict (Seminars and Blog).
offer a bank of images, maps and videos to help you understand the Casamance context (Gallery).
