This seminar focuses on relations between Russia and Africa. This strategic relationship or Russia’s foreign policy towards Africa is today one of the most debated themes in the world. Therefore, we will highlight the link that exists between foreign policy and geopolitics: a foreign policy is the behavior or maneuvers of a State put in place to respond to international actors or countries. So, geopolitics is the study of a space of rivalry. In other words, it is according to Stéphane Rosière who sees it as “the study of space as an issue”.
Biography
Ibrahima Dabo, doctoral student in political science at the University of Paris 2 Panthéon Assas, attached to the Thucydides center (analysis and research in international relations). Ibrahima Dabo also holds a degree in international relations from the Russian State University of Nizhny Novgorod and in Slavic languages and civilizations from the Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar. Specialist in Russia and Russian-African relations.
