This seminar will be an opportunity to explore the issues of regulating social networks, to debate the legal and ethical challenges linked to the protection of personal data, and to discover the perspectives developed in the speaker’s work.
Biography
Valère Ndior is professor of law at the University of Western Brittany in France (Lab-LEX research center), member of the Institut Universitaire de France, researcher at the GEODE Center – Geopolitics of the Datasphere and Affiliated Fellow at the Yale Information Society Project . His research focuses on international law and digital law. He directs the Governance and Regulation of Social Networks program (IUF innovation chair, 2022-2027). His current research focuses on social media governance, content moderation, online freedom of expression, international regulation of artificial intelligence, and international cybersecurity law. He is the co-author, with Emmanuel Netter, of the book States and Social Networks. Controlling online discourse (ed. LGDJ, coll. Forum, 2024).
