Biography
Dr Amadou Ciré SALL is the new Scientific Director within the Laboratory for the Analysis of Societies and Powers/Africa and Diasporas (LASPAD) at the Gaston Berger University of Saint-Louis (UGB), in charge of Technological Policies and Sovereignty in Africa. He holds an engineering degree in mechanical design and a doctorate in Mechanics from the Ecole Centrale de Lyon. Since his return to Senegal in 2014, he has held the positions of Director of Infrastructure within Dakar-Bamako Ferroviaire (DBF), Technical Director of the Société Nationale des Chemins de Fer du Senegal (CFS) and Secretary General of the National Oilseed Marketing Company of Senegal (SONACOS). He also had to teach Structural Dynamics courses to Master 1 students at the Ecole Polytechnique de Thiès, for the recently created aeronautics sector.
