Biography
Fatoumata HANE is a teacher-researcher in the sociology department of Assane Seck University in Ziguinchor. Socio-Anthropologist, specialist in health issues, his thesis defended at EHESS in 2007 focused on the effects of public policies on professional configurations in Africa through the example of tuberculosis in Senegal. She then pursued two post-doctoral research studies on TB/HIV co-infection (2007-2009) and on new actions around HIV (2009-2011). Fatoumata HANE was thus interested in the mechanisms linked to HIV financing in Senegal. Associate researcher at UMR 912, she initiated research with Fred EBOKO on the governance of AIDS in three African countries. Researcher at UMI 3189 Environment, Health and Societies, she participated as an anthropologist, country researcher in three research programs coordinated by Yannick Jaffré FNUAP (from 2009 to 2012), UNICEF (ENSPEDIA from 2015-2017 and community health 2019-2020 ). Within this unit, she also conducted various studies on aging and contributed to the establishment of an international research group on aging in Africa. Ms. HANE has coordinated the Education, Family, Gender and Health university institute of the UASZ since 2020.
