Biography
Mame-Penda BA is Associate Professor in political science at Gaston Berger University in Saint-Louis (Senegal). Member of several international research networks and his work covers the sociology of religion, the analysis of public policies (Research and publication, Health, Gender, Decentralization, Security) as well as the restructuring of the State and administrations in Africa. Mame-Penda Ba has co-constructed numerous research programs around these themes. She is co-founder and editor-in-chief of Global Africa magazine. She also serves as the Secretariat of the African Studies Association for Africa (ASAA) and is co-editor of the blog CIHA (Critical Investigations into Humanitarianism in Africa).
