Mamoudou NIANE

Mamoudou Niane is an Associate of the Faculties of Law and Professor at the Gaston Berger University of Saint-Louis (Senegal). He holds the Certificate of Aptitude for the Profession of Lawyer (CAPA). Pr. NIANE is the Permanent Secretary of the Personal Data Protection Commission (CDP) of Senegal. He was Director of Legal Affairs, Litigation and Compliance from November 2016 to March 2020. Pr. NIANE participated in the development of legislation on the Information Society in Senegal. More recently, he coordinated the reform of the legislative and regulatory framework on the protection of personal data in Senegal. He is a member of several technical committees dedicated to digital technology, the protection of personal data, artificial intelligence, and space law in Senegal and internationally.
