Biography
Toussaint Kafarhire Murhula is a political analyst, social scientist and director of the Arrupe Center, a research and training center in Lubumbashi, DRC. He is currently the President of the African Studies Association of Africa (AEAA), an organization of African scholars, practitioners and activists in Africa and the diaspora.
Dr. Murhula’s research focuses on social justice, democracy and peace, political violence and conflict, religion, and global public health policy. He has taught at Loyola University Chicago in the United States, the Episcopal Theological College of Pecs in Hungary, Hekima University College in Kenya, and Loyola University of Congo in Kinshasa, DRC.
