Biography
Ms. MEDORI TOURE Valérie has a doctorate in sociology, specializing in educational sciences, she is a teacher-researcher and coordinator of the humanities and social sciences literature center at the Rose DIENG France-Senegal University.
His professional career was forged in France, Senegal and Burkina Faso in the public sector, the private sector and in the humanitarian community. She participated in several scientific committees: the Interdisciplinary Research Laboratory in Social Sciences and Health (LARISS) of the Joseph Ki-Zerbo University of Ouagadougou, the journal “African Population Studies”, the 3SB Seminar of the National Institute of Sciences of Societies (INSS) of Burkina Faso, “Research Afternoons” of the Higher Institute of Population Sciences (ISSP) of Ouagadougou; “Mondays” of the Center of Information on Research and Development (CIRD) of the IRD of Ouagadougou.
Her studies and research in social sciences began in 1999 at the Université Dakar Bourguiba, the UNESCO Chair in Education Sciences at the Faculty of Sciences and Technologies of Education and Training (FASTEF) at Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar, and Joseph Ki-Zerbo University in Ouagadougou. Her action-oriented research focuses on West African educational systems, endogenous and contemporary family and social models, and, more specifically, the challenges faced by disadvantaged children living on the streets. She explores issues such as education within restructured families and mobility, various forms of educational models and pedagogical innovation, as well as secularism and religious education.
