Our research explores democratization processes, citizen participation mechanisms and electoral dynamics, highlighting successes and obstacles. We also analyze the impact of international institutions and local actors on democratic consolidation. By adopting interdisciplinary approaches, we aim to produce knowledge that can guide policies and initiatives aimed at strengthening democratic practices and promoting inclusive and equitable governance in Senegal, in particular. We also train elected representatives in their important role in society and in the success of democracy.
