Youth employment presents a major challenge with significant economic, social, and security ramifications. With a predominantly young population, Senegal faces an imperative to create decent, sustainable jobs to accommodate this dynamic segment of its population. The employment situation thus reflects a challenge shared by many African countries, faced with a demographic dividend whose potential benefits cannot be realized without the effective integration of young people into the economic and productive spheres.

This seminar is intended to be a forum for dialogue and in-depth analysis of the issue of youth employment in Senegal. The aim is to examine public policies implemented in the area of youth employment, assess their impact, and propose alternative perspectives for more inclusive professional integration. The objective is to bring together researchers, institutional stakeholders, representatives from the private sector, and civil society to exchange perspectives and identify concrete and realistic solutions.
