This seminar is part of a dynamic of reflection on the contemporary challenges of security and integration in Africa. It proposes to take a look at the complex relationship between persistent insecurity in several regions of the continent and the institutional fragility of the Regional Economic Communities (RECs).
The seminar also aims to identify avenues for reflection on the conditions for more effective and sustainable cooperation in matters of continental security.
Biography
General Jean Luc Diène, Former Director General of Foreign Intelligence. Through his experience and analysis, we can determine whether security instability is the main cause of this institutional fragility, or on the contrary one of its consequences.
